Pilar J. Penn--Managing Director
Ms. Penn is a public interest lawyer and skilled mediator working on issues affecting people in underserved communities. In 2004, she founded the People’s Law Center for Access to Civil Justice, Inc., which provides legal services to individuals and families with financial barriers to legal representation. In 2008 she founded GreenJustice, Inc. to provide an avenue to assist communities in advocating for environmental policies that make sense, and to have a voice in the emerging green economy.  She was chosen as an Environmental Leadership Fellow in the Southeast Region by the Environmental Leadership Program, Inc. in 2008, which is "a diverse network of visionary, action-oriented emerging leaders." Her vision of developing "social profit" organizations, which have the ability to provide an open door between those with the problem and those working to solve the problem, motivates and informs her work.

Marvin C. Reddick, Muata Diversified Services, Inc.--Board President
Mr. Reddick brings 20 years of service in the military and law enforcement to GreenJustice’s board of directors.  He served in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and began his career in law enforcement while in the military.  His background includes achievement in the martial arts.  Marvin helped start Operation Correct Start, a program that provides school supplies and mentoring for homeless youth.  He is involved in urban planning and environmental compliance, and brings the vision of joining together the need for mentoring youth and finding alternatives to incarceration through training in green construction.

Sonja Ebron, chief executive of blackEnergy.
blackEnergy is a national distributor of energy conservation products and an organizer of energy buying groups that help people use their utility bills to support Black communities. Sonja has published research articles and has held academic positions with the Florida Institute of Technology, Norfolk State University and Hampton University. Her professional background has also included employment with Carolina Power & Light and Gainesville Regional Utilities, where she held positions in distribution operations, strategic planning, and customer relations. Sonja is a former director of the American Association of Blacks in Energy and is listed in the 2005 and 2006 editions of Who's Who in Black Atlanta. Ms. Magazine recently labeled Sonja a change agent for "the belief that environmental and social consciousness can create satisfaction in the soul and the wallet." She is the only utilities expert listed at SheSource.org, an online braintrust of female experts designed to assist journalists who need female sources.  She brings this vision to GreenJustice.

Darryl Haddock , Environmental Education Director, West Atlanta Watershed Alliance.  Darryl is one of the primary individuals that coordinate the daily routine of forestry education at the Outdoor Activity Center, a 26 acre nature preserve in the heart of Southwest Atlanta. Darryl has a passion and commitment to young people, having chaired the scholarship program for his fraternity and facilitating conflict resolution workshops to middle school students in the period between employers.  He has completed facilitator training in programs like GA Adopt A Stream and Project WET. He facilitates environmental outreach programs using these and other resources to local schools, government agencies, and civic groups. He also provides administrative support to program staff and volunteers. Darryl prepares materials and equipment for monitoring programs, educational activities and community service projects.  Darryl brings the vision to educate the youth, and the community about being good stewards of our environment, as well as participating in the love of nature by being in nature.


Awure' Dianne Thomas, Founder, Ankhasha Enterprises, LLC.
Awure' has spent more than a decade building resource development programs with metro Atlanta nonprofits, raising upward of $1,000,000 for operating as well as endowment.  Ankhasha Enterprises provides strategic resource development counsel and services to social profit organizations and also helps businesses develop new business through government grants and leverage promotional dollars through community investment activities.  Awure' brings a vision of sustaining and life-filled social profit organizations, and she has the energy we need to assist GreenJustice in strategic planning and capacity building so needed in today's economy.
