Green Earth Academy

The green movement will bring amazing job opportunities to our cities in the near future, and Georgia is no exception.  The “green wave” is coming fast.  Across the country activists are lining up to make sure that Congress makes it clear to our youth and underserved communities that these opportunities are for everyone.  GreenJustice supports the national green-collar jobs campaign through public outreach, policy advocacy, and creating alliances with unions, educational institutions, and businesses to create opportunities out of the emerging, multi-billion dollar green economy.
GreenJustice partners with educators, organizations, and individuals doing the work in an effort to reach the public and to bring information about opportunities and programs that are available for learning and experience.  By increasing knowledge that will empower communities to make well-informed decisions regarding social and environmental issues affecting them, GreenJustice and its partners intend to aid in the creation of a well-trained labor force to take on the challenges and benefit from the opportunities presented by our changing economy.
GreenJustice opens opportunities for youth leaders to share cultural expression and to work for peace in their own ways.  We support the youth in creating their own space,  addressing policy makers, and putting on workshops for youth development training.   The youth are the voices of change.   Surprisingly enlightened, the youth speak positively about creating a culture of peace using outreach, culture, advocacy, and training.

Advocacy in Action

GreenJustice and its partners recognize the nexus between the development of safe, peaceful, and productive environments and the need to lower our consumption of the Earth's resources.  Guided by successful programs established by other social justice/environmental justice organizations, GreenJustice utilizes grassroots organizing, the media, policy advocacy, and alliance building to direct Georgia’s use of its natural resources, and to provide education that encourages environmental stewardship and activism to support the efforts of communities, families, and individuals in building a sustainable future.

Ecology, Health & Justice  Education

As partnerships emerge, forums and opportunities to meet are offered to the community at-large to listen, discuss, and question active members of the social change community about the environment, the green economy, and how the movement to "save the earth" affects every community.
